Atelier Sakai ships both digital and physical kamishibai products to customers worldwide.
Digital items are delivered instantly via this website and email.
Physical items (paper kamishibai sets) are shipped from Japan using Japan Post International ePacket, a reliable and trackable service for lightweight goods.
1. Shipping Regions & Rates
We offer simple, zone-based flat-rate shipping to keep costs transparent and easy to understand.
Shipping fees are automatically calculated at checkout based on your destination.

South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and others
Flat rate: ¥1,200 JPY
Zone B — North America 🇺🇸🇨🇦
United States, Canada
Flat rate: ¥1,500 JPY
Zone C — Middle East 🇦🇪🇸🇦🇮🇱
United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar, and others
Flat rate: ¥1,800–2,000 JPY(depending on destination)
Zone D — Rest of the World 🌏
Countries not listed above
Flat rate: ¥2,000–2,400 JPY
Note: Shipping fees are based on the typical weight of one kamishibai set.
Larger orders may incur additional charges. If the actual shipping cost differs significantly, we will contact you before dispatch.
2. Shipping Method
Physical items are shipped via:
Japan Post – International ePacket
- Fast and economical for lightweight goods
- Includes tracking in most regions
- Typically arrives within 7–14 business days, depending on local postal conditions
- Maximum weight: 2 kg
If ePacket service is temporarily unavailable in your region (due to international conditions), we may switch to an alternative method or contact you for confirmation.
3. Processing Time
- Orders are usually dispatched within 3–5 business days (Japan Standard Time)
- We ship Monday to Friday, excluding Japanese national holidays
- Digital items are delivered immediately after purchase
4. Customs, Import Duties & Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs duties, VAT, or import taxes in the destination country.
These fees are not included in our product prices or shipping rates.
Customers are responsible for any additional charges imposed by local customs authorities.
